Support for temporary foreign-flag permits and full re-flagging.
Foreign Flag Permit
Support for re-flagging a vessel into the UAE or obtaining the permits a foreign-flagged vessel needs to operate here.

Overview
Vessels registered outside the UAE that intend to operate, charter or berth here for an extended period often need a permit recognising their foreign flag, separate from full UAE registration. An owner considering a permanent move to a UAE flag may need the current flag state's registration deleted first.
We support both routes: arranging permits for foreign-flagged vessels that need to operate in UAE waters, and managing the deletion and re-registration process for owners re-flagging into the UAE.
Benefits
Coordination of deletion from the vessel's existing flag state where required.
Familiarity with the documentation foreign flag states commonly require.
One point of contact across the outgoing and incoming registration routes.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to re-flag, or is a permit enough?+
That depends on how and how long the vessel will operate in UAE waters. We review the intended use and advise on the appropriate route.
How long does flag-state deletion typically take?+
Timing varies by the current flag state and whether finance or other clearances are involved. We identify these factors before the process begins.
Can I re-flag a vessel with an existing mortgage or lien?+
It may be possible, but lender or lien-holder clearance will normally be needed before the current registration can be deleted.
